Convoy of Ashraf Ghani Supporters Reaches Eastern Provinces

A convoy of 30 vehicles filled with campaign volunteers, supporters and Ashraf Ghani posters arrived in eastern provinces today amid great local excitement.   The convoy has arrived to prepare a final election push effort in the region for the August 20 elections.

The volunteer and supporter activities cap off campaign events that Ghani has led in the past three days in Zabul, Bamyan and Kandahar provinces.

Between October 2001 and June 2002, Ashraf Ghani served as Special Advisor to the UN Secretary General’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, Chief Advisor to the Chairman Karzai and Executive Director of the Afghan Assistance Coordination Authority.
